@thwr Yes, UD suffix is Ultra Durable line. I think they are up to UD4 now with the ddr4/socket 1151 spec out. The UD3 series was for ddr3/2011, 1150, etc. Oh actually theyre upto UD5 series. Damn my computer is getting old, but not slow.

iscsi target Path configuration
Is there any real difference setting up iscsi targets using /dev/mapper/device as the iscsi target Path vs using /dev/vg/lv in the Path of ietd.conf. I have tried both and both work and point to the same device. I think one is just link to the other.
Is there any reason to not use either one? -
RE: Home lab and gaming machine
I like the Gigabyte Ultra Durable line of mobos. Have used them in my last 2 builds with no problems.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@scottalanmiller Noooo! Still havent seen an episode of this show. If it has zombies as the main thing, i avoid it. Games, movies, tv shows. Thought i was the only one, looks like i might be now.

RE: Add Whitelist Entries in Office 365
If you run this command again with different addresses/domains, doesnt it overwrite the previous items in the list, unwhitelisting your previous whitelist addresses?

RE: Non-IT News Thread
They do use nuclear rockets and batteries, just very small ones on probes and such.
I cant remember the name of the stories, but it is definitely in the Science Fiction Hall of Fame anthology (i have all 6 of em, theyre great) where many of the stories involve nuclear rockets because the authors all thought that's how we would get around in near future. too bad we arent, due to fearmongering and ignorance.

RE: Building a Basic DRBD Cluster on OpenSuse 12.2
What is the purpose of 'zypper -remove patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base'
I know what it does, but is it necessary? Does this minimal_base package prevent you from installing certain packages at a later date? Or you just making things nice n neat? -

RE: University or the Lotto?
Cynic in me says that the government doesnt care how much debt youre in or how educated you are, they still get their pound of you.
OTOH
I get extremely pissed when im at 7Eleven and someone spends ten minutes buying lotto tickets in front of me... If they just took that money every week and invested it, they wouldnt need lotto tickets. It is also very uncourteous to sit there and spend ten minutes picking out lotto tickets while people are behind you in line, imagining you burning in a fire.
