@dustinb3403 said in Network monitor software, network adapters enumeration, fix this please.:

Hyper-V, VirtualBox and other services create these types of things. Are these, or have these services been run from your system before?

Windows likes to create lots of different "networks" for the same network adapter as well. So Windows creates a new network (even tho it was never disconnected from the physical network), and then all the virtual adapters for VPNs, virtual machines, etc all get duplicated as well.

@dustinb3403 Basically, yes. But the snipping tool would open a new email and attach the picture to the email before you put addresses in it and send it out.

I could see the value in that, but what if you had to take 20 screenshots. It just starts drafting 20 emails because it doesn't know any better.

Seems like a weird type of request.

Now if there was <Email client> integration I could see that making sense. I'm not sure how often I'd actually use it though.

@momurda Docker I think. There's some github scripts that use that port. Pretty specific for a guess like that though.

@romo said in Windows Admin Center, who uses it? Your experience:

@scottalanmiller The most login prompts are using it in Chrome.

Chrome has a bug regarding the websockets protocol and NTLM authentication. This effects the following tools: Events, PowerShell, Remote Desktop.
      https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=423609

Ah, good to know. That might exacerbate it.

You can also use Dell Repository Manager to create a bootable ISO to update.

So not too bad a vulnerability. And it's already been patched. That's good.

It is bad. What good is a server that's isn't providing a service? It may as well be turned off.

      Patched already is great.

It could be giving up secure and privileged information... at least with this one you know there is an issue.

@momurda if you doubt what type (object/string/anything) is returned, try using $a.GetType() and it will return you the variable type.

Because Microsoft has no way to clean up these certs and they are likely for self-signing software that Windows runs and "needs a cert for".

Plus MD1000 are for older SANs...

eh? It's just extending the internal storage... externally, hence "DAS". It has tons of use cases.

It does, but they MD1000s were mainly setup for SAN devices in mind. Yeah they can also be attached to servers as well which is not bad either. Just not my preference, nothing wrong with that.

Not sure what you mean, a DAS is a DAS... MD1000, MD3000, MD1200, MD1400... whatever. They are simply (as what Dell calls them, @scottalanmiller , not me) "Server JBOD Expansions". They aren't specific to SAN use and are not SANs.

Okay, I am not trying to go in a tangent and go in argument with you. Why does it need to be this way?
Reason for me saying that mainly Dell uses it for SANs see below:
      https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/povw/powervault-md1000

You still can use them for servers for user.

No arguing or disagreeing... I'm just not understanding where you're getting "SAN" from?

How much storage did it come out to? I agree, at this small of a load, a web instance might make the most sense. Or a VM somewhere on your existing infrastructure.

What a weird icon for suspended. Any idea what it represents?

The green leaf of low power consumption.

Breathe in the air. Enjoy nature.

My best guess. Suspended means low energy usage for those applications meaning being more green?
