    • RE: Morrowind on the Asus ROG

Go into you System Devices and verify that it recognizes the better GPU. Then go get drivers from here; http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us , And then try again. Some older games also have trouble with mobile chips.

    • What is in your Toolkit?

I'm starting to do onsite work, and I wanted to ask all the pro's here; What tools do you carry onsite, to help you do your job? What are your favorites? Which ones do you use the most?

    • RE: Fallout 3 on Windows 10 from Steam

@scottalanmiller Did you get that .dll and put it in the root directory? The issue is that Steam doesn't make you auto-install Games for Windows Live with the game, but you need several of the packages from it to make the game run properly.

    • RE: What is the best degree for IT?

@Minion-Queen mentioned me earlier in this thread, and I just wanted to pop in and confirm what she had to say; I worked with NTG as an intern for three years, training on PBX Engineering, and the use of several other systems, and I cannot stress enough how valuable interning can be. The day I turned 18, they brought me on board as a full-time employee, and have given me the resources to continue growing in experience and IT related knowledge. I'm able to get senior-level certifications if I work towards them, and I never paid a dime for a college education.

I'd say college isn't entirely necessary for IT, unless, as @scottalanmiller has said, you want to go for any sort of Business Management degree. The people who have gone for that tend to get jobs in this field pretty quick, so far as I've seen in my few years experience.

    • RE: How does the routing for calls on a Elastix PBX System work?

If you use the Web GUI to configure these settings, when you go to PBX>Inbound Routes, and then select the DID, you can navigate to the bottom of the page, and choose it's destination from a list of things you've already created; Like Extensions, Ring Groups, or Time Conditions/Groups. This will route the any call made to the DID go to the selected destination.

    • RE: How does the routing for calls on a Elastix PBX System work?

Are you asking about how to direct a call within a system, like, for example, from a DID to an Extension/Fax?

    • RE: Water Cooler question

If you turn the fans off, it'll die. However, if they're PWM's, you can control them in BIOS. Maybe set the curves for temps to be a bit less aggressive?

    • RE: M2, mSata, Sata stuffs

It's a SATA NANDFlash chip on an M.2 Drive, that's all. An M.2 drive can come in multiple lengths, as long as you get the right size, and plug it in, it should be perfectly fine.

@thecreativeone91 Mmmk, go talk to some people who set the standards by being industry leaders, and design the panels and interface gear, they'll tell you all the same things I am. There HAS to be standardization, otherwise those people can't properly do their jobs. And they understand perfectly that FHDi is 1920 x 1080 Interlaced, it's pretty simple.

      @thecreativeone91 said:

HD does not refer to either one. It's resolution only. Resolution, Frame rates and Progressives vs Interlaced is are all separate things. You are badly misinformed.

That is incorrect, HD is SPECIFICALLY 1280 Horizontal by 720 Vertical, Progressive Scan.

    • RE: 4K vs UHD

@thecreativeone91 If all categorization was based off of ACTUAL common knowledge, the world would be in misinformed chaos, consumers don't know what they're even buying, much less how it works on the inside. The world of technology is far too specialized to rely on common knowledge for anything.
