Faxstation, formerly faxbochs or something of the sort, works flawlessly and gives companies exactly what they really want - the use of a fax machine.

It takes the fax transmission locally, converts to a doc, sends to Sangoma servers then is manually faxes to the receiving party. And vice versa.

I only have a work owned PC and a work owned laptop. I do play game son them and intend to buy them out if I would ever quit.

But I would still need a solid GFX card to play something like that.

This one was an easy fix, but that the issue exists at all is a fragility unique to FreeNAS that does not exist if you only use FreeBSD:

@scottalanmiller So, it turns out the issue I was having getting the OS installed, was that the default file path was pulling from an empty folder. I found the actual ISO's, and got two installs. One that the interns did, on CentOS 7, and one that I did, on CentOS 6.

Given that Fortivoice put the call on hold and after days of not working it magically started in those few minutes... I think we have the answer.

If you are booting from UEFI mode (not legacy mode), you must use FAT32 as UEFI won't boot from NTFS.

I haven't had this issue, I can boot from UEFI into a NTFS configured drive. Possibly a special UEFI designed around that, I have no idea.

      Exactly.

The UEFI specification explicitly requires support for FAT32 for EFI System partitions (ESPs), and FAT16 or FAT12 for removable media;[20]:section 12.3 specific implementations may support other file systems.

@coliver In all fairness, Steam was terrible when it first launched, and it's excellent now. But as of yet, there are zero advantages of using SteamOS. Running the version of Debian that it's based on would work much better in every way. Less stuff running to clog your system, better game support, and of course, support for plugins. I had to OC my CPU to almost 4.4 Ghz to get it to run properly. The tasks that are the only reason it exists, are done faster and more efficiently on any other platform. I would honestly recommend Ubuntu more for a console replacement at this point, but we can hope SteamOS gets better.

@thecreativeone91 So long as 4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10, and 21:9 monitors continue to be supported, this can encompass and perform well with any of these standards. And the markets are slow to change. I don't think 16:9 will be going anywhere for a while, and 21:9 is growing in popularity. It's early enough in it's lifecycle that one of these monitors will be very useful for probably upwards of 5 years. After all, people still use VGA, and that came out in 1987. And I'm not super picky for displays, I'll be coming from dual 21" 1280 x 1024 monitors. So I'll most likely get around 8 years of use before I feel the need to upgrade again, unless some huge paradigm shift happens in the display peripheral world.
