It wouldn't look as nice. Looking at an extra cost to send it to a shop to have it done. I do have professional grade equipment to do so at my disposal, but it isn't company owned.

Really depends, if everything is old style apps an Atom would actually work fine. If all web apps, you need slightly more power as JavaScript in the browser is not the fastest, most responsive thing. RDP uses extremely few resources on the client end. Some VPNs need a little more oomph.

I'm quite impressed with it. I was thinking maybe a case badge anywhere on the front.

I've used a lot of High-End USB audio options as well, not impressed.

Might be building a website for a local band. I got to watch them practice today. I stood around watching for 2 hours before I left, it pained me to leave, but I had work to do. I can only remember the last two songs which were Tush for ZZ Top, Hard to Handle from the Black Crowes,

@StrongBad I've used an android tablet for it and they run very well, but on the Shield I would imagine it runs even better. I know Half Life 2 is quite impressive on it.

The one thing you have to worry about for hardware requirements is the supported network cards. It will RUN on anything but you may not be able to use it if your network cards are not supported.
