I had looked that up just recently so knew it had a million person lead on Houston. It was only 100K larger when we first moved here. DFW is growing so quickly that it's only like a decade short from being expected to overtake Chicagoland!

Especially not surprising since people are leaving the Chicago area at a rapid rate: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-chicago-census-population-loss-met-20170322-story.html

Buffalo N.Y. is booming in home sales, and is number 1 for the nation.

That's pretty weird. Why? I mean I like Buffalo but... huh?

      Chicagoan 1: I like snow.
Chicagoan 2: Ok, that was random...
Chicagoan 1: No, I mean I really like snow. I love snow!
Chicagoan 2: Why not move to Buffalo, NY?
Chicagoan 1: I hope they have lots of new houses because my whole family is moving now.

I am just beginning to get my digital toes wet in this area, and I was wondering if those of you who use any of the Linux configuration management/orchestration tools would be willing to share what you use, why, and if you use containers how that affects your choice?

I just started into the Honor Harrington series by David Weber.
      Pretty good, actually.

It is very good at the beginning of the series, one of my favorites. Now Weber is Jordaning it.

I started it because I saw 10 books. Hopefully, it stays interesting for a while.

You can download most of David Weber's books (and a few other Baen authors) for free, and legally at http://ebooks.thefifthimperium.com/. Up until a few years ago he included all of his Baen published works on a CD that came with the hardcovers.

Oh the difference between Office Web Apps and Office.

Office Web Apps (Word Online, Excel Online, Etc.) leave a lot to be desired. They are more akin to Google Docs then the full version of Office.

I wanted to know specifically what they are capable of doing and what they aren't but I don't see any of that listed. For my average user I'm sure the online version would be fine but I was asked the difference and I really didn't know from a features standpoint.

The largest, and starkest, difference is file access. Office Web Apps will open files stored in One Drive for Business (ODfB). I don't believe (unless something has changed recently) that there is a way to access LAN or local files without sync'ing them to SharePoint Online or ODfB. You also cannot use any macros or scripts, and some advanced functions are missing. There are some others that are oddly MIA as well. I'd have some of your users trial it and see if they can make it work.

iOS 10.1 fixes a significant number of flaws, and one that allows malicious code execution when viewing a JPG file.

I think you need another port of coffee...

What is filling up the space on your DCs? 25 GB seems really high for something to fill immediately. Are you using DFS?

      Yeah we are.

I have no idea what is taking up this space. I'm attempting to find it now.

WHAT? A reg cleaner on a DC? I don't think there is a facepalm meme sufficient for this level. Can you get them fired? If you continue to experience problems you may have to retire those DCs (hopefully they're virtualized).
