@jaredbusch Thanks Jared, just a brain fart on my end. Works as desired.

RE: PJSIP Trunk Setting in FreePBX
@jaredbusch Issue is inbound. Shit - let me try my PJSIP port. I was going on my prior config that is working with Skyetel that is using the SIP port 5060 for PJSIP and works flawlessly.

PJSIP Trunk Setting in FreePBX
Does someone have PJSIP trunk working properly for BulkVS ?
I'm receiving:
Executing [18775551212@from-sip-external:1] GotoIf("SIP/69.12.88.198-0000000f", "0?baddomain") in new stack

RE: Hello
I've gotten calls when I'm with my daughter from them or when my bank account is compromised or the IRS or .... If we've got nothing better to do, I just answer the call on bluetooth and see how long they can entertain us for. I'm like you going to waste my time ... now I'm going to waste yours.

RE: Small switch for small branch office recs?
A bit off the original post, but if you find a switch you like that isn't POE, the POE Injectors from Ubiquiti are pretty nice and a great price. (and they actually have them in stock)

RE: Mobile Range Extender
@flaxking Two of the rooms are very small, and wouldn't be a bad testbed ... did the device you get work for multi-carriers or do you have to program it for a specific one?
-
RE: Mobile Range Extender
Yeah, my guess is that to do it properly will be cost prohibitive for them. They want it in 4 different locations and I bet they will baulk at anything over $1,000 / location.

RE: Mobile Range Extender
Yes, they want carrier independent. As for WIFI it is either there or can be, but then there is the issue of MMS doesn't work over WIFI. That is something they are looking for. The one's that I've done in the past were for specific use cases that were locked to the carrier (but that's not the use case here).

Mobile Range Extender
Hey - got a client that is asking me to assist with getting better mobile reception in a couple rooms on the base floor of this rather large condo.
I looked on Amazon, and the prices seem to be all over the place. Does anyone have any experience and direction to take on this?

RE: What Are You Watching Now
@phlipelder Yeah, the first real adult enabled movie like that I remember was Shrek - thinks a kid would NEVER catch. Driving down Rodeo drive and such.
-
RE: What Are You Watching Now
@hobbit666 It was very good. Watched it over Christmas break with my 6 year old son. I love how they make these cartoon movies with 2 angles. One for the kids, and another one for the adults. Not sure what you saw, but I thought I was watching Steve Jobs, Apple, and a critique of social media.

NICE

RE: Did you notice the Skyetel outage today?
Yes, was very nice on two fronts. First off - they had a plan of attack for such an incident occurring, and their plan worked out just as written up.
Secondly, and almost as important was their communication to their client base letting them know what was happening with each step along the way.
Very happy and impressed with them.

RE: Air Gap Backups
@francesco-provino said in Air Gap Backups:
I have done it with the S3 Vault Lock feature, you can use it in conjunction with Storage Gateway (effectively emulating tapes), or using objects directly.
Once put in compliance mode, there is no way to delete the objects before the compliance period ends. It's also very cheap.
Would a proper use case for this be something like ... if I have a bare metal backup such as acronis, then store this on S3 Glacier Deep Archive for the "Oh Shit" complete disaster recovery get things back. And then use the S3 Glacier for the regular backups with incrementals of data? Seems like if I had to rebuild hardware, I could use the Deep to get to a baseline, and then normal Glacier for any restores of data. Likewise, if only data was missing or currupt, the S3 Glacier would suffice. If the only difference between Glacier and Glacier Deep is 1/4 the cost and 12 hours vs. 1 minute ... then for many applications, the Glacier Deep Archive would suffice.

@scottalanmiller Thanks for the suggestion Scott.
No problem.
The "4" is a really nice unit. Still small, but really powerful.
This really is your only choice right now if buying from UI direct. It's the only router they have available in stock. Is there a link to "Jared's test" ?
