XS is stable, yes. But my problem with XS, as always, is backups and ease of handoff.

I've tried to ask @Olivier why not offer an SMB centric XOA version (priced right) with just the backup & DR features

@FATeknollogee So is what I said correct though?

      Yes that is correct.
Just get 4x 8 ohm in ceiling speakers (you don't need 70V speakers)
"Most" modern 2 channel amps will drive a 4 ohm load without any problems.
You get a 4 ohm load, cause you wire 2x 8 ohm speakers in parallel for the left & right sides.
      Make sense?

@FATeknollogee yeah that makes sense, and your recommending not using these specific speakers as the 70V isn't needed.

Remember "KISS"...no need for 70V, you only have 4 speakers.
      There's a time & place for 70V & this ain't it...

Hypervisor is Win Server 2008 R2.
LOB app: o/s is Server 2008. This app has an Oracle db.

If the VM is backed using Veeam or Altaro, is that good enough in the event that a restore is needed?

    • VPS/hosting: Vultr-like speeds + easy-cPanel management

Really dissapointed with the A2Hosting feeds & speeds: https://mangolassi.it/topic/12956/where-are-you-running-nextcloud/18

There has to be a hoster/VPS that offers the speed of a Vultr, the cPanel ease of management & the ability to do one-click install of 3rd party apps like NextCloud/OSTicket etc (similar to using https://www.softaculous.com/)

      Am I just dreaming?

    • RE: Where Are You Running Nextcloud

So, I opened a ticket with A2 support:

      Me:
reference: My internet connection is 150/150

      I uploaded 2 mp4 files ( 74 & 196 MB)
      Vultr upload took 10 secs.
A2 upload took over 7 mins

      Downloading just the 196MB file:
      Vultr: 1 sec
      A2: 1 min.

A few hours later, I tried the upload again:......speed wins
      Vultr: 17 seconds
      A2: 8 mins 27 secs

Why are these speeds so poor?

      A2 Support:
Thank you for contacting us. I would be happy to answer that question. We are not a file sharing service nor do we allow file sharing websites so our service is not optimized to feed that type of setup. From what I can tell this seems to be what you might be setting up as that is what Next Cloud is for. We do not allow this on our servers / we do not allow File Storage.

Please do not setup a file sharing or backup or storage cloud on the server. I apologize for any confusion.

      Me:
      Are you serious?
Why is NextCloud available to install in the Softaculous catalog? Why not remove it since you claim it is not allowed?

      A2:
Thank you for your reply, I apologize for any confusion this has caused you. We offer our customers a variety of scripting using the Softaculous installer, as with all websites on our network the content of our customers sites must be in keeping with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy which prohibits :

Audio/Video streaming (other than that which is incidental to a site's operation)
      Very large photo galleries
Storage of a large amount of uncompressed or full-size digital images
      Online file (FTP) serving
Distribution of large audio or video content such as MP3 files
Online backups (i.e. backup of desktop/laptop computer, files, or anything not directly related to the website)

      Thx for the info.

I haven't yet checked pricing, but you said the sweet spot for storage on Vultr is 1TB or less?

Above 1TB, one probably should bring the install in house (aka co-lo, on-prem etc)?
