@JaredBusch Good to know... this was the first time I upgraded a distro and didn't realize that would happen.

    • RE: Ubuntu Boot Issues

@JaredBusch When I upgraded to 16.10, it also disabled the unifi repos and I had to go in and enable them again.

Ubuntu's default partitioning makes the boot partition really small. I usually go in and make it bigger when I install Ubuntu.

Does the harmony remote allow you to plug in headphones to it if someone in your place is sleeping? That was my main reason for wanting the Roku remote specifically.

Haven't looked at newer models, mine is almost 7 years old. But I imagine not.

@BRRABill said in Linux system maintenance; /boot nearly full:

I did all the auto removes and it still did not remove.

From my Googling of the issue, it was a common problem.

Just ran into that same problem. Still showing 98% used.

I have found with newer versions of Ubuntu (16.04 and 16.10) that "apt-get autoremove" won't remove kernels, but "apt autoremove" will.

I don't set an alarm (unless I really have to be up at a certain time) but usually wake up between 6:00-7:30 every morning naturally.

Unfortunately it is almost impossible to find a "dumb" tv now.... I guess the only thing to do is just not hook it up to the network.

I avoid buying smart tv's... The UI of Roku's or AppleTV is superior to the crap built into the tvs

What about getting delivered to a local shipping company for pickup? I pick up things from the FedEx place all the time.

      Does that exist there?

I set mine to 79 (speed limit 75), that usually puts me passing most people but then have a handful of people going faster than me so I'm less likely to get pulled over and given a ticket.

That's because you live in TX, the slowest driving state. In NY you are expected to drive mine over and you'll not be passing much of anyone. TX is unique in being the only place I've ever been where the average is always slower than the posted limit.

Since NY's speeds are 65 and they are going 9 over, that almost makes it what we can legally drive in most of Texas... 😉

@scottalanmiller Dell T630, it is only Single 10core Xeon (3.2ghz I think and some power saving there) which is more processing power than I need. and 8 3.5" winchester drives
