Put a $130 Ubiquiti camera pointed right at the HDMI port, whoever breaks it can now be held responsible. You'll probably never have to fix it again with a camera on it.

Do you guys use dnf-automatic on all of your fedora servers?

I updated by host to 7.2 right after I ran the XO install script. I didn't pay attention to what Citrix was doing.
7.2 is still good. 7.3 is the one Citrix crippled.

Zimbra actually requires CentOS? Can't use FS?
I was wondering the same thing as I was looking to spin up a Zimbra server for my lab.

What do you mean? I don't understand.
My interpretation of his question was whether we need to change the way we do updates because right now the update script only checks for a change in version number, when there are actually other changes committed between version numbers?

RE: WordPress behind NGINX Reverse Proxy issues
@scottalanmiller I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question, I'm adding the proxy and the SSL, the certs are on the NGINX server

WordPress behind NGINX Reverse Proxy issues
WordPress install following @Dashrender's guide here. Everything works correctly when I connect directly to the WP server using the IP address, but as soon as I access it via its FQDN, reverse proxied with a separate NGINX server, I get some odd formatting and what appears to be no CSS.

RE: Weird Network Errors on SIP Trunks, FreePBX
@scottalanmiller We still use the legacy wholesale thing. It probably wasn't as often as every 3 months, I'm sure I'm exaggerating a little.

I had outages and "upstream" issues more than once.
We haven't had any problems for like 6 months, but we used to have "upstream provider" issues what seemed like every 3 months or so. We've been with VP since 2014.

At the time of this post the XOSAN functionality wasn't open sourced so we were unable to test / implement it.
Looks like XCP-ng has already reached it's stretch goal for "bundled gluster support."
If their scheduling is accurate you could essentially have XO-SAN built into XCP-ng by the end of this year. -
RE: If all hypervisors were priced the same...
I've never even used VMware, but I'm pretty sure if every single feature was available for free (like all the other hypervisors), then I'm pretty sure that's a no-brainer.

If you didn't have access to Xen Orchestra, would XenServer be your first choice still?
I switched from Hyper-V + Paid 5nine to XS+XC and was way happier with XS+XC well before I got into XO.
XO seriously is a game changer though. -
RE: Dynamic DNS with CloudFlare
@jaredbusch good call, that sounds way easier than what’s above. Setting it up your way now. Thanks

Are you guys still using this? Do you think it's the best method still?

This is what I'm thinking, too. If they do fail, RAID10 should still be safe... and I'll be backing up to my NAS anyway

I'm looking at used hard drives on ebay right now  Is it silly of me to buy used 146GB 10k SAS drives off of ebay to use in my home lab? Found some for like $9 each with free shipping, thinking of getting like 6 for using in RAID10
