@BRRABill I wonder if there is a USB 3.0 version of that...

My (brand new DELL servers) servers only have USB2, so it did not matter to me. 🙂

I am sure any reputable branded USB stick would work.

That is odd. I just got two R530's from @BradfromxByte and they have a USB 3.0 internal port.

In thinking about this, I should have bought a USB3 version anyway. Same price basically.

            Duh.

Using XO VM replication between 2 XS 7 hosts, initial copy of a 61GB VM in 8 minutes:

              0_1464216106445_fast_replication.png

This is on a classic GB link.

Clearly, previous bottlenecks weren't in XO.

                  I am upgrading right now.

                  How did the upgrade go?

Do you boot off USB? Did it upgrade your partitions? (AKA, did you have enough space?)

You can upgrade without using the new partitions, you just lose that added functionality of the larger partition.

                          Right.

I was just wondering how his upgrade went, and if he used the larger partitions.

                          🙂

I'm probably going to just upgrade it as is.

Auto-updating Windows drivers, the Direct Inspect API and gobs of GPU updates are the big winers, I think.

These features are not free.., you need the Enterprise edition.
Thought you folks said XS was free?

@FATeknollogee The appliance free version is very limited. If you install from source, you get everything for free 🙂 @DustinB3403 has a guide and a script from @scottalanmiller

XenServer is completely open source, there is nothing to be "locked away". Can you provide some evidence to the contrary?

Wrong, you can get all the features of XenOrchestra for Free (you simply have to install from source)

That is the Citrix supported version which is XenServer, which is completely open source. And has access to all of the features mentioned in the documentation you've listed.
