NYC in winter is going to be mostly sweaters, jeans, fashionable boots, and a coat to put on over it.

Keep in mind when we reference "0" in NYC, it is -17.7778 for you (F => C).

And NYC can go way below that. But not normally around Christmas time.

Some of us work in Celsius though and understood that when he said 0 he was speaking C.

Watch the original home alone movie or jingle all the way to see how people dress in NY for winter 😉

Thanks @JaredBusch that's actually a big help, I've not put much brain power towards it, but for whatever reason I just thought NYC was like Greenland every day during winter, cold and snowy, but I guess it isn't.

We'll wind back the cold clothes packing from Defcon 4 to something not as severe.

Always possible to be a blizzard, but odds are against it.

Usually windy as @scottalanmiller said. Few times I've been in the area around the holidays temperatures were around 5 C but winds were 30-40 MPH which is what about 55-65km/h

The lack of oder in the winter makes nearly any cold temp tolerable in NYC. 🙂

Especially in lower Manhattan. The Wall St. area is crazy windy.
