I bought one to test with, and another colleague is using it now. The UVP phone looks great, and has the ability to install anything Android. The speaker phone is terrible though. IMO, it's more of an eye candy phone.

Have you tried the executive version of the phone with stereo sound?

Yeah I think he did but didn't like them. Scott prefers Sangoma and Snom if I remember correctly.

The only problem, it's all built to take advantage of Grandstream only products with features like auto-discovery of the phones.You can also add Grandstream IP cameras, IP door stations, video conferencing etc.

The only problem, it's all built to take advantage of Grandstream only products with features like auto-discovery of the phones.You can also add Grandstream IP cameras, IP door stations, video conferencing etc.
I have not tested a grandstream phone in 5 years. But they all sucked, across the board. Enough so, that I have not invested any more time in seeing if it has ever changed.
They work. Lots of people use them because they are the cheapest.
That is all I will say about grandstream phones.

@scottalanmiller has never used a Sangoma phone. Neither have I.
They are on my list to get one purchased for comparisons.
They cost more than comparable Yealink models.
They look almost identical to Yealink.

Snom is a decent phone for price and quality, but they lack in features.

FreePBX is Asterisk. Anything that runs on SIP can, for the most part, connect to an Asterisk phone server.

Yealink hits the awesome sauce point of great price and quality like Snom, but also have more features and flexibility.

I use them & they work.But 5 years ago Yealink was good, and has only gotten better.
Also 5 years ago Snom was good and has stayed about the same.For what should I look at Grandstream when they sucked so bad.

Polycom phones are good quality and features but higher cost.
The Sangoma phones match this line pretty close with cost, features, and quality (from spec sheets as I have not used one yet).

The Ubiquiti phones are a gimmick. I would never seriously consider it. They are also extremely expensive comparatively.
