      Re: Anybody tried OnlyOffice?

This week ONLYOFFICE announced the release of the new version of its desktop editors that allows users to edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations offline and collaborate on documents switching to the online mode.

First, ONLYOFFICE opens the source code of its editors under AGPL v.3. Second, users can extend the editor functionality with integrated add-ons or create their own add-ons. More here: http://www.onlyoffice.com/blog/2016/10/onlyoffice-desktop-editors-go-open-source/

@DustinB3403, the Try Now option allows you to evaluate all ONLYOFFICE functionality in the cloud. The cloud solution has a 30-day trial period. But if you need a document management and online editors only, you can make use of ONLYOFFICE Personal that is absolutely free - https://personal.onlyoffice.com, moreover if you are a nonprofit organization or an educational institution, you can use the cloud version of ONLYOFFICE for free as well - http://www.onlyoffice.com/nonprofit-organizations.aspx.
To deploy the program on your own server, you can compile the source code / use the pre-built pachages - http://onlyoffice.org/ and it's free or you can make use of the Enterprise Edition solution, a virtual machine with ONLYOFFICE pre-installed - http://www.onlyoffice.com/download.aspx. The Enterprise Edition version gives the access to all ONLYOFFICE modules and tools and offers a set of tools to automate the office configuration and management (it has a 30-day free trial as well).

@JaredBusch, First, ONLYOFFICE is a web-based office suite that offers a real-time collaboration (two modes - Strict and Fast (like Google Docs), chat and comments to interact. Second, ONLYOFFICE is not just office suite, the system is intergared with document and project management tools, CRM, mail client and server, calendar, community (forum, blog, bookmarks, wiki, etc.). ONLYOFFICE offers all the necessary productivity tools for teams of different size, so you can easily choose which ones you need and desable those you don't need at this time.

@Veet To avoid this, you can always install ONLYOFFICE using Docker script or virtual machines with the office suite pre-installed - http://www.onlyoffice.com/download.aspx

@guyinpv, I have forwarded this problem to our QA departement, they will try to reproduce the problem. If I have understood correctly, the program didn't suggest you to choose: For home / For business. Is it right?
