Honestly, Scott, I was perfectly fine with going with January, just don't try to put the blame on me about some kind of scheduling that needs to be approved because I said all this from the beginning. They act like this is some sort of a surprise that needs a change order. B.S., they knew.

Knowing that this would occur on a weekend in the first or second week of Dec is not the same as a hard date. Assuming that only today are you telling them a hard date of this weekend - then no, you didn't schedule it in whatever window they wanted. Should they have told you that you need to pick a hard date to get this on the schedule, sure, where they required to - probably not.

No, I wouldn't spring it up on them like THAT!! We talked about the dates back in November and I told them it was going to be a weekend in October. Plenty of time if you ask me.

Oh, I forgot to answer the questions LOL

I'm internal IT...and yay I am happy about not having to do it before January. I had a discussion with them before and I said the 1st or 2nd week in December would be cool. They said it was doable...now it isn't.

    • "Scheduling Has to be Approved in Advance"

So, I have been working on a migration from 1 cloud service to another and I asked if we are ready to go for this weekend. Here's what I got from the tech: "Weekend go-lives need to be scheduled in advanced and approved ahead of time and at this point it doesnt even sound like the infrastructure is in place so this weekend is not very likely."

The infrastructure isn't in place? Fine...even though when we discussed this I said the first week of December or the 2nd would be a good time to do it and the tech said "this sounds totally doable".

What I'm ranting about is since we started this little journey back in October, I have said over and over that this is happening on a weekend. I may be able to give them an afternoon on Friday, but that's it. Don't come telling me it has to be scheduled and whatnot when I have been saying this in EVERY conversation that it will.

OK rant over even though I'm still mad at that little nugget.

    • Cyrus Jones

Cyrus Jones made a HUGE bonehead move in last night's game for the Patriots. A punt hit him in the foot and the Ravens recovered, which led to a TD. He's fumbled 5 times in 9 games so far and has admitted he's lost confidence in his abilities.

Really sad to see because this guy was a game changer in Alabama. I hope he gets confidence back and turns it around after a pretty bad year.

    • RE: Gaming - What's everyone playing / hosting / looking to play

Going the opposite way of most I'm assuming. Using OpenEmo on my Mac to play some favorites from the past.

I have been playing Tecmo Super Bowl with teams and rosters from the USFL and the WLAF. Took the Birmingham Stallions all the way!! Joe Cribbs and Cliff Stoudt led the way. Trying to get the Ohio Glory to some glory. Tough to do because they suck LOL

Baseball I went to Triple Play 98. I played THE HELL out of this game when it was out, so it's fun to play it again. Struggling with whom I should start in RF...Vladimir Guerrero or Henry Rodriguez.

Basketball I went to NBA Live 2003. Got a sweet team led by Chris Webber and Michael Finley. Bo Outlaw comes off the bench for some spark.

Also Stampede on Atari 2600. When I was small, I played that game nonstop. Fun to play it again from time to time.

      @scottalanmiller Woah, dude!!

On a different note, I just got the shock of my life. I used to play in Little League with the kid in the link I'll post. I knew he killed 1 guy, but in looking for the link, I literally just found out he killed a 2nd.

That's really sad because he was a cool kid and my parents liked him.

@leahcrowell22 Kinda boring, actually. I lived in the same city and my father was selling like a Nintendo or something. He responded to the ad, came over, checked to makes sure it work, paid and left. We all survived!

@leahcrowell22 It won't be one of the more famous ones. His name is Kenneth Ponte. Widely considered the main guy in the highway murders in the area that I was born.

@Son-of-Jor-El this is a bit of an informal site, but I've worked for companies that paid for the big tests of this and the results were required to be on everyone's profiles that you saw anytime that you worked with them (no joke.) It was a bit extreme but let me tell you, when done well they are incredibly accurate, far more than you would ever imagine, and really help with letting people know how to interact with each other. It was so valuable that I've carried it on to many other jobs. I recommend them highly.

My previous job required us to do these as well. I really don't know how they used them and they said it wasn't to find out if you should work with who you worked with but I don't think you can sum up everyone on about a dozen question. Just my $0.02. Another $1.98 gets you a cup of coffee (small size, of course LOL)

      That's why it's not a dozen questions, it's like 500 for a real test.

500???!!! Holy crap! I would never take THAT test!! LOL
