It's an interesting process and pots appear to be from acceptable to completely out there in pricing. Of course depends on how elaborate they are. Regardless for me though - as I rather don't like coffee, It's of course not for me.

I stumbled across the idea while looking at Buchner vacuum filtering equipment (for another project). So if I made coffee also, that setup wouldn't be a unitasker. At the very least, I would be able to filter my own regular cold brew much faster. And quite a bit finer than the 150 micron screen I currently use.

And the last for now, #5...

The flooring is done, countertops will be in today! And since that includes the sink and faucet.... I FINALLY HAVE A KITCHEN SINK AGAIN!!!!!

Any particular reason why you picked granite or was it the look that settled it?

Granite is really durable, my girlfriend bakes a lot, and it grows wild in the mountains north of here. So price and availability play into that as well. We looked at some quartz (cultured), it was nice but was only available in different shades of white. The color we're getting is a nice cool gray and white, called "Luna Pearl".

Has anyone here made cold brew coffee with a vacuum funnel? Seems like it might be an interesting method.

We had a little cold front roll through the south last night. Had to bring all the plant babies inside, and then got to enjoy that distinct aroma of turning the heat on for the 1st time in 8 months. And we have a freeze warning for the next couple of days. Stay tuned for more 80F days coming soon.

This was 4 shots of espresso and milk. And I think I need that crack coffee blend in my life.

A local punk band collaborated with a local roaster (called mosh pit coffee) to create a custom blend with 50% more caffeine. Band merch is getting creative these days.

I think @RojoLoco would provide a better definition (and hopefully a review :D) but IIRC, it's chicken wings with various sauces, and I believe that the sauces are usually spicy.

For some semi-related hilarity, The YouTube channel Hot Ones is an example of wings n sauce vs people/celebrities.
People are interviewed while eating Chicken wings coated in hot sauces, some handle them well.

Actually the host of Hot Ones was there as a judge on Saturday. My gf's 17 year old ate the hottest wing there... He smashed it like a champ!

Yesterday afternoon I was assaulted by a small team of rogue fire ants. They got in my shoe (sandal) and started biting, not sure how many times, but my left foot looks like a balloon. Definitely makes it hard to walk, and I'm supposed to be flying to Chicago in the morning.

@pmoncho I think that depends on the particular meeting software. I think Teams has a setting to reduce background noise, but I'd have to double check that, not at my desk right now.

@pmoncho yeah, they are way better with modern computers because of all the USB-C stuff. I haven't really had a chance to make any calls with the new monitors, so I don't know how well the mics work. My boss knows I won't turn on a camera just for a Teams call, they didn't even buy one for me.
