    • RE: Port - Exporting VM from Hyper-V and into XenServer - having issues

Allright I got the machine live!
So what I did was really plain and simple...

Create a backup and recovery media with Veeam endpoint backup.
Restore the backup onto my xen server (with driver injection).
Boot the machine in safe mode.
Disable hyper-v services (even though they are disabled in hyper-v...)
      Reboot
      Done

I still can't believe it took me so long to figure this one out. I was deleting/editing registry entries related to drivers that I didn't need etc...

Quick update, Backup is restored. I am running a chkdsk on all my drives to ensure they are ok. Hoping this will finish later today

    • RE: MSP charged with extortion

Wow, just read the article... This is unreal!
It's the exact method as any business uses in case of non payment.

I can't even think of a precedent because it's kind of like a custom 😛 You don't pay, you don't use. It's common sense just like @scottalanmiller said before.

You can't take a ride on the ferris wheel if you don't buy yourself a ticket..

@Dashrender Ok, i can't boot into the advanced startup options list..

I keep getting the "launch startup repair" "start windows normally screen" on which i press enter and then bash my F8 key. But to no avail

@Dashrender I'm restoring todays backup first. Gonna start as clean as possible.
Then i'll run the boot with log.

Hope I can get this show on the road really soon. Need to free up that hypervisor lol

Ok so i've found this but the storvsc is already disabled... Should i disable the other drivers? They seem like native windows ones and not really hyper-v specific
