Trying to sort a few issues with my solder station, just can't get it to clean and tin the pads of the PI3 USB on a Nintendo switch
Can you set the temp? It could be too hot,..
Na it's the station, got a cheap t12 and having issues with the temps. Set it to 400 and if I check. With my multimeter it only show 300.
So under temp so pads are getting hot, also when trying to wik to clean the iron sticks.
Trying to see if I can get a 2nd hand hakko 951 or JCB
They were responding to a threat to some pupils.
They were locked down for an hour then police said all clear
No one harmed from reports

My friends that used to run a local computer shop stayed in business because they would replace faulty caps and mosfets. Most that fail are actually easy to replace because they're the larger components. Not my idea of fun, and nothing I'd make a business pay me to do still.
^^ This
Not fun no as caps/resistors/mosfets are surface mount, but it's something i'm getting into as a hobby already got a switch and 2 xbox one s to practice on fixing and doing micro soldering.
Woop got myself a Hakko 951 soldering iron for the job too, if i find the issue on that graphics card

Installing and setting up ProxMox... Oh what could go wrong with this.
I just did this on my Dell Workstation/Server.
Just need to work out how to add two SSD and my RAID
But that's a Google job for tomorrow

I always use a reverse proxy now (that's what putting Nginx between the server and the outside world does).
Either way, same server or separate VM should be ok. I prefer a separate VM, but that's because I already have one setup with gobs of things running through it.
That's what i was thinking. Now to get one setup and configured

Someone screwed up SAN failover switching, gasp, what a surprise.
Sorry for the snark while you're dealing with the aftermath.
Might not be 100% them, it might be due to the Dell Certificate issue as someone failed to update the switches before yesterday.
More of a Rant.
Just watching the news about puppy smuggling.
But also about the increase in demand for dogs/puppy's with cropped ears as celebs and "influencer" have them.
Like WTF!!!!! Why would you want a dog that someone has simply mutilated the poor thing.
The world is so messed up!!
