Good discussion to have, allows one to bypass the "hype".

      Specific question:
Using mailcow: dockerized ...good idea, bad idea?

Upgraded from F29 to 30, also switched to Deepin.
So far, I'm liking the Deepin desktop.

      Yes

well, well...let @scottalanmiller comment on "dockerized". I don't know enough to speak about it.

@FATeknollogee the test account you have is in Germany. Did you even notice any lag?

I haven't tried to "attach" any sizeable files yet.

Server would be a VPS in Europe (for those who care) with good performance but high latency to US.

@dave_c said latency to the US would be high?

      @FATeknollogee cheaper duh

It can't be that much cheaper, I don't buy that reason.

So you'll choose the higher latency VPS because it's less money but all the folks that are using it are here in the US?

      BtrFS is what Synology uses?

It is what it optionally uses, yes.

I think that is the default FS?

I believe that it is now. So people need to watch out for that, you rarely want it.

      Can it be "easily" changed?

@Dashrender you recall correctly. But basic IPSEC is in the controller now. I do believe.

JB is correct, just use the IPSEC in both controllers (aka routers).

This isn't exactly related to OP's post...
It would be nice if there was a "clean & easy" way to "migrate" your vm's from Vultr to say a co-lo.

@scottalanmiller said in Skyetel is a scam:

Well, more like hiding the fact that is clearly isn't a scam and you made a false statement.

I made a statement that was factual based on all the information I had at the time. I in no way made an intentionally false statement.

I will update the topic title at your request. I dislike doing so because of the implied financial pressure of an advertiser.

      Sorry, man, that's absolute BS.
Feel free to spin it anyway you want, fact is, your statement was far from factual.
