RE: File not marked for installation
@Romo said in File not marked for installation:
Trying to do an install of SideNotesIM on a machine but keep getting an error message during the install that says: File SideNotes.exe is not marked for installation.
From what I have searched online, the error is not spefcifically a SideNotes error and its usually is caused by an old install that left either files or registry keys behind. CCCleaner was used to remove old registry entries and no other folder related to the app can be found.
Tried contacting the manufacturer directly but they couldn't help. Have any of you experienced this type of error before?
Is there anything from ProcessExplorer that shows what is trying to access? Or you can see if there is anything on the startup with AutoRUns and see if there is anything related to this application there.

RE: Resolved - Postfix on Fedora 29 - Why Can't I Send Mail?
@wrx7m said in Postfix on Fedora 29 - Why Can't I Send Mail?:
I am setting up Postfix on Fedora 29 to send notifications for dnf-automatic and fail2ban. This server is running on Vultr and I am trying to send from DomainB.com to DomainA.com. DomainB is a new domain that hasn't been used for anything and DomainA is our main email domain, setup on Office 365.
In the postfix logs, I am getting connection timed out -
Mar 18 17:19:41 HOSTNAME postfix/qmgr[4085]: EEE853EE90: from=<[email protected]>, size=465, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Mar 18 17:20:11 HOSTNAME postfix/smtp[9703]: connect to domainA-com.mail.protection.outlook.com[104.47.48.36]:25: Connection timed out
I have tried disabling firewalld, but still have the same issue. Not sure where the hangup is. Any suggestions on what to check?
Can you actually telnet to port 25? I usually needed to contact support to open outbound SMTP

Why use a LE cert if oyu have CloudFlare in front? Use the cloudflare cert for the machine.
Fine
I thought I had a guide around here on how to use LetsEncrypt with Cloudflare and an Nginx proxy. If not, I could write one quick enough when I get home, I have it scripted now. I'd imagine you could use the same setup for your Wordpres site.
But what would be the point? You can have a 100% solid reliable encryption without that headache simply by using the machine CERT from cloud flair
or use the CloudFlare plugin for Wordpress..

RE: Synology pushing to Backblaze B2 at 50mbps
@JaredBusch I am not sure how you have been doing with this, but basically what I have found is that after a couple months the key with B2 does not work any longer and we need to add it again so we are constantly monitoring it. If you get into that issue maybe you can see something I did not see.

RE: How well does webdav work on windows clients?
Sometimes you can find slowness and some other issues with WebDav in Windows. If the WebDav Server is in Linux like NextCLoud it works well.

RE: Brocade switches
Brocade Fiber Adapter for SAN devices on servers also have that issue in which we need to turn off and on the ports so it actually maps the LUNs, happens all the time. I have never liked that brand.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4493472/windows-7-update-kb4493472Both react negatively when running Sophos. You're not able to login.
They effect all currently supported versions of Windows, not just Window 7 and 8 like the links would lead you to believe.
No prizes for guessing which anti-virus dashboard we use.
We have various customers with Sophos Central and I have not seen the reported issue but will find out soon enough....

Anyone else having issues with services not restarting after a server reboot?
On 3 separate servers now, a bunch of services that are indeed important for that server haven't restarted. Looking at logs and nothing jumps out. Just curious if this is happening anywhere else?
This has been going on for quite some time on Windows servers as far as I can tell.
If the services aren't restarting, you aren't rebooting. Try pulling the plug.
I think he means that the services are not starting automatically after a reboot.
I have had this issue but isolated to some applications. I end up backing up and reinstalling the application or setting up the Automatic Delay action.

Does nobody use search? Not that I really ever need to use it, but when I do, it's instant and works 100% of the time.
After 1 month with a new email account, I have enough sitting around that search starts taking a long time and is nowhere near instant. I'm kinda jealous that you have that little email filtering through.
Same here... and Outlook Sucks at it...
