@Minion-Queen -- Yes, this code is available for anyone to test. It needs to be run from the Connection Broker, for now.

If folks find it useful enough, I may change that.

I just went and tried it with 'none' as my IP mode... I set a static IP address on my Windows DHCP server and activated a DHCP scope and it not work. I switched back to ZT for IP handling and everything went back to working agian.

I'll try it with a LInux DHCP server on the controller in a little bit and let you know how that goes.

Is linux better than it was, sure, is it as good for non techies as Windows, possible I suppose as I haven't installed Mint in ... ever.

I've tried testing this before and I've never seen any non-techie feel that Windows was better. Literally, never. I've only seen experienced Windows users that did not want to switch. Starting from scratch, Linux has always been found to be easier in the few "greenfield" tests that I've ever seen.

Chances are if Linux can do it, it probably does it better than Windows, lol.

      I would second that.

      Holy Necroposting Batman!

I found this topic referenced in another forum, and alas, my server that held the old code for this has long since crashed for reasons we're all familiar with.

In that same post, however, another coder has written a Python script to handle this...

@PSX_Defector I have narrowed it down to the Persistent Reservations. This is a Nimble Storage system, and I believe that can be en/disabled per lun. AFAIK, this will be the only Windows Cluster accessing the Nimble systems in a Failover Cluster, so they probably don't have it enabled.

And yes, everything is in the same DC. Most likely in the same rack, lol... and no, not doing anything fun with iSCSI over the WAN.... although that does give me an idea, for new things to try on my own servers, lol.

You're fighting a battle on two fronts

vm's are notoriously crap at rendering/gaming/using a video card live desktop over network has never worked nicely due to bandwidth/compression issues

Is there a way to change the way you're doing it right now? Play the video locally on a PC?

For a while I was looking into a way of doing similar (playing games on junk laptop but have it rendered by the pc). This was ages back now. I seem to recall a company did something similar recently... NVidia or something with phones? I dunno. Something to google around for anyway.

CloudAtCost has completely revoked their "free for life" products that people have already paid for in full and is now simply charging for them - even ones that customers already own. Customers are now being extorted to pay annually for something they were sold specifically so that they would not have to pay for in this way. The service is no longer a scam on the technical level, it is now a full scam on the billing and marketing level as well.
