When did the unread counter poof?

Just hit F5 and poof.

They weren't supposed to be there, you just got a momentary update where they had been enabled. You weren't supposed to know!

Actually, they are always there. If I shrink the window small enough to display the hamburger menu, they show there 100% of the time. Posted that somewhere in this thread or another once.

I get the unread count most of the time now but it never updates unless I actively refresh the page.

If you bypass cloudflare it shows up everytime

I wonder what CloudFlare is doing that causes that.

noticed it working in chrome on my macbook around 2pm CST.
no idea when it started working on my chrome browser on my desktop, but it is.

It has always worked on safari on my ipad. and on desktop , if you made the browser small enough to force the hamburger menu, it alwyas has worked.

Nothing has changed... nothing. Not even a restart. No GIT pulls. No reloads. No nothing. Haven't even been on the server. What the heck could have changed?
