Flights to Rochester for MangoCon 2016

JetBlue is the primary low cost carrier coming into Rochester.

I'm flying United in from west Texas area.

Drive time from Buffalo or Syracuse is also about an hour.
Of course you'd need to rent a car if you chose this route.

Its kinda stupid... but it was the less stupid option for the money and flight time, but I fly west to Denver, then Chicago, then Rochester

That is often how it works getting to Rochester.

No Jet Blue from Atlanta....
United and American are the only 2 options. Now to decide where I have to change planes, because it must be a requirement that my check bag get lost on this trip... never once have I changed planes and not had my bag lost for a day or 2. -

What if you wanted to travel the area or were coming in early and wanted to hang around the falls or the wineries early?

We generally fly Allegiant but I think their closest hub is Elmira. We can generally fly for ~$140 round trip.

Awwww snap, just found the nonstop flights to Rochester. Maybe $30 more than changing planes (and sitting for 3 hours) in Newark, NJ (shudder).

I have flown Allegiant before, but they fly out of Sanford which is about 40 extra miles round trip for me and then you have to get from Elmira to Syracuse or in this case Rochester so it really isn't any cheaper to fly to central NY.

Orlando to NYC is $79 then take the train to Syracuse

I am generally a cheapskate, but when it comes to travel I want to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. I wont spend $1k on a ticket either, but if I can get a non stop flight for $300-400 I would jump all over it.

They always find it, but it's a hassle. Non stop flights are easy peasy in that regard. Bag stays on the plane I'm on.
