      Hello and welcome!
      We’ve got a bunch of our product experts in the room here, most on wired and wireless troubleshooting. I’m Kendall, NETSCOUT's (/Fluke Networks Enterprise’s) social gal, and I’ll be helping to field and answer questions. So what do ya got for us?!

          For a SMB (180 Employees) not heavily focused on troubleshooting our network (mostly because it's a one off issue) what tools would you recommend?

          Basic Tool-bag kinds of tools is what I'm thinking about.

          For example, I'll terminate digital phone lines, and Ethernet in our closets from time to time, and the toner I have works, but it only goes over 2 pair. But for the $40 bucks it was worth it at the time.

          It works, but is sketchy. If that makes sense.

            So far we have Lisa Schwartz, Product Manager for Link-Solutions (LinkSprinter, LinkRunner AT, Link-Live Cloud Service) and Vincent Choi, Product Manager for OneTouch AT (wired + wireless troubleshooting). Plus we've got a few folks on call depending on what questions come up. Looking forward to this!

                I looked over their stuff at SpiceWorld and asked them to host the St Louis SpiceCorp last fall. The LinkSprinter is awesome for the simple tasks like that.

                  Like Dustin, I'm in a fairly small office of 90 users. Cable issues are a pretty rare thing. What device do you see customers like us acquiring?

                      Yup, we have a couple of those, and they are great. Very handy little tools!

                              Do I recall correctly that the LinkSprinter saves all the data to the cloud? Is there an interface on the device to tell you current status?

                                @Dashrender It does report all network test data to the free online results management platform, Link-Live. For the Model 200 and 300, there is a mobile interface through the built in AP that you can look at real-time test data. Regardless of what model you have, it also automatically send you an email with all of the data that you can reply to to comment in the cloud service.

                                  Our LinkSprinter 200 doesn't have any interface that I know of. But I've only used it very basically to check for DHCP, connectivity, etc.

                                    @DustinB3403 Check out the LinkSprinter 300. Not only will this help you out to quickly determine general troubleshooting such as, is the problem in the PC or hte Network and if the Network, where. For cable test and identification, it will also give you distance to fault and show open/short/split. Another handy feature is it has flash port, so if you don't know what's connected to what and you have an un-managed switch, you plug the LinkSprinter in at the wall jack and watch the ports, you'll see one light blinking in a different pattern, that's your connection. In a managed switch, will just tell you what switch/slot/port VLAN you are plugged into.

                                      Are the 200 & 300 models able to handle 2.4 and 5gHz wireless bands, or are they only for checking wired connections only?

                                      If wired only, do you guys have any products that would be recommended for checking wireless as well?

                                        @art_of_shred It has a built-in mobile AP that you can connect to, pull up a browser once you're connected and go to 172.16.9.9 and run your test you can see all real time data 🙂
