          This isn't even 'Merica

This is honesty, break into my house to steal, eh, ok well I hope you're ready to meet your maker, cause I'm gonna shoot to kill.

          It's that simple.

Wasn't against that at all...Hell, If someone tries to break into my house, I'll make sure they accidentally fall down my stairs...three times...before restraining and calling police...

I was saying it about the fact the family are blaming the woman for defending herself in her own home and trying to excuse/disguise the fact he was robbing her...

When I worked in the legal field. Learned something fast. If you are defending yourself do it with purpose and at your full capabilities. In other words do not leave the perpetrator able to sue you for anything.

This happens quite a bit in Canada and it's fairly disgusting. I appreciate it as a tool to ensure there's good review of the evidence but the victim blaming does turn my stomach.

Victim-Blaming: The act of blaming some ass-hat for their own stupidity.

Example: Thug breaks into house and gets shot and killed, I think the break in victim is at fault for this, leaving their valuable school clothes out and crap, like how the heck else is he supposed to have money for school clothes?

They just wanted to be robbed, cause we're broke and they'z was flaunting it.

                            Here's my two cents:

You can't justify killing someone for stealing alone, however the homeowner could not have known the intention of the person breaking into their home. It's tragic that someone chose to steal and even more tragic that they died for it, but this is an unfortunate part of doing things that put people in a situation where they could feel their life is in danger.

I think whoever did it probably thought that was your own personal opinion.

Yes, I am going to assume you are armed and here to hurt my family.

This is only news because that family of the thug, thinks they are entitled to compensation somehow.
