Fusermount is installed to Ubuntu 16.10 by default.

Only need to install libvhdi-utils and then we should be good.

Building a clean system now with a sample file.

Does anyone know the correct version of node and npm we should use?

I have installed Ubuntu and when I run the script it freaks out when it gets to the sudo npm run build... My first attempt was on Debian 8 and it also freaked out at that step...

I see that we install node ver 5 but when n stable runs it gets upgraded to v7.4, so I tried skipping n stable but no luck

@brandon I recently tested the script on Ubuntu Server 16.10 and it worked fine. Post the error shown so that we can see what is happening.

There is one known issue that you will need to deal with unless you build with the next-release branch.

@brandon On my Ubuntu 16.10 trial system the NPM version is 3.10.10 and node version 7.2.1.

By providing the error message we can help to determine the cause as @Danp said.

You said you're running Debian 8? Can you try the installer with Ubuntu 16.10? (never LTS)

My original system is based on Debian 7 and I'm a bit to busy to build a debain 8 system.

LTS is a marketing campaign (more or less). Just run the proper server and stay up to date with that.

It only depends if your hardware isn't 64-bit...

To ensure that you are using the most recent version of the installation script, it is recommended to install using --

@Danp Hi Danp I tried to use the script but the new Ubuntu server is just so unstable... Cant install anything then apt crashes and I have to run dpkg --configure -a , while running the script it will randomly stop and say Killed... Busy running the script manually I am currently busy with sudo npm install and npm run build in the ox-server dir. Will give an update if the install is successful or not.... Why is the new Ubuntu such a pain? I use Xubuntu 14.04 as my main driver at home and work and I haven't had any real problem besides the wallpaper reverting back after every reboot but that was minor.
