I seem to be stuck in a YA fantasy rut right now. Rick Riordan, Alanna of Trebond, and the Sorcerer's Ring. Rick Riordan's is probably the worst of the lot, but I haven't finished the other two series yet.

I really enjoyed Sorcerer's Ring... the whole series is like 17 books, lol. How far in are you? Morgan Rice came up with some quotable stuff in that series.

I quit mid way through the third book. There was too much explaining, Mary-Sue-ing, and too much that stretched credulity for me. It seemed like it had some potential, but I lost interest.

It gets better, I think... I've read the thing through twice. Next time you're looking for a book to read, pick up where you left off and push on through. You can go back to hating it after the 4th book if you still don't like it. 🙂

Maybe I'll come back to it after I finish the other books I have checked out on my phone.

I'll have to check those out. I was going to give our copy of Ted Dekker's House to my mother-in-law for Christmas... but she doesn't like the "horror" type stories, lol.

Just finished Artemis by Andy Weir, the person who wrote The Martian, which is on my list to read still. Artemis was a really fun book to read/listen to. I only listen to books now while I drive. It is about Earth's first city on the moon. Fun book to read, would totally make a good movie or I think a even better video game.

That book had a problem from the library. We switched and read The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander, instead.

We are reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone most nights, but when the little one isn't interested my elder daughter and I resort to Dragon's of Autumn Twilight which she has really gotten into.

Lots of true crime, recently. Currently reading (listening to) Zodiac: The Shocking True Story of the Nation's Most Bizarre Mass Murderer, By Robert Graysmith.

I've been reading "Everyone loves large Chests"

It's sorta kinda a LitRPG, pretty entertaining but might take a second to start rooting for the protagonist.

David Allen's Getting Things Done:The Art of Stress-Free Productivity. The book is more or less expanding on the concept that he created with the same name. So far it has helped me quite a bit.

Also, Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos. Okay, I haven't actually gotten to reading it yet, but I just bought it last weekend and am excited to get there.
