Was a huge fan of Jackie Chan's middle era films. His early stuff was too cheesy and later stuff is too American. But in the middle his catalogue really was good. Exciting, interesting and fun and enjoyable.

      • Who Am I?
      • Drunken Master II (Legend of Drunken Master)
      • Mr. Nice Guy
      • Gorgeous
      • Accidental Spy

The last one is the late era but kept the awesome feel of much of the middle era. There are good films from every era, especially the later with many good Americanized titles like the Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon series.

Laserdisc 🙂 I have haven't seen one of those for awhile. Good Stuff.

I still have about 350 of them. All mint in boxes at my dad's place. Don't use them anymore but can't get rid of them. I have things like the impossible to get reference standard 1985 digital transfer Star Wars Trilogy before any of the crappy modifications were made to them. Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Shawshank Redemption.... all kinds of stuff. And horrible B movies too. Death Race 2000 and worse. I was a serious cinemaphile in the 1990s.

I never really watched any kung fu movies. I think I will have to check some of these out.

Legend of Drunken Master is awesome but doesn't make much sense unless you have seen the not very good original, Drunken Master. But the original is early era that gives you a feel for Jackie Chan when young - when developing his career. The sequel is him in command at the height of his career. Two very different films but they go together.

Dirty Dancing has been my favorite movie since 5th grade. I love tons of movies, but that one I can watch over and over again. My number of views must be in the 50's or above at this point.

And, of course, I love the even numbered Star Trek movies.

I did a search to look up the best movies of the 1990s. And I found this site: http://www.slantmagazine.com/film/feature/the-100-best-films-of-the-1990s/334

What is interesting is that the picture that they chose to show is from Fallen Angels, which is War Kar-Wai's sequel, or really third part of a series of vignettes, to my all time favourite film Chungking Express.

Fight Club, such a good movie, Another one I might add to my list would be Natural Born Killers.

I enjoy watching Science Fiction and Fantasy movies in general. I will also watch a Wuxia at the drop of a hat. That interest stemmed off the Sci-Fi/Fantasy element a lot of the Wuxia movies have.

OMG, just found that Red Cliff is available free via Amazon Prime. John Woo directing Tony Leung.... first time together since the landmark Hard Boiled in 1992!

The Secret of Nimh used to freak me out as a child, but it's endearing to me now.
