I'm annoyed by this. Release it all at once! Ridiculous.

Amazing how much we have adapted to the Netflix season at once mentality.

Yes, that's exactly why. >.> It has nothing to do with the PITA that it makes it to go out and, uh, "watch" it once a week.

So the president of Nicaragua just missed his first scheduled appearance in 41 days which was specifically for him to confirm that he is actually alive as the international press is pretty convinced that he died of COVID in late February. His wife is the VP and has been unable to produce him all this time.

Missing the press conference to confirm that he's alive is not the way to convince people.

Thrill seekers discover corpse at abandoned 'haunted' hotel in southwestern Japan

MIYAZAKI -- A corpse has been discovered at an abandoned hotel in this southwestern prefecture which is known online as a haunted spot, after two men entered the building as a dare.
The pair, in their 20s, came from outside of the prefecture to prove their mettle by going inside the dilapidated Okobira Hotel in the city of Ebino. They called the emergency services 110 number at around 12:50 p.m. on April 15 to report the body.

How could they not be? Almost no one has the ability to really completely stay in.

Even those that do are still likely getting deliveries - so they could be infected by brought in goods.

Climate change: US megadrought 'already under way'

A drought, equal to the worst to have hit the western US in recorded history, is already under way, say scientists.
Researchers say the megadrought is a naturally occurring event that started in the year 2000 and is still ongoing. Climate change, though, is having a major impact with rising temperatures making the drought more severe. Some researchers are more cautious, saying that it is too early to say if the region really is seeing a true megadrought. According to the authors of this new paper, a megadrought in North America refers to a multi-decade event, that contains periods of very high severity that last longer than anything observed during the 19th or 20th centuries.

Nasa to launch first manned mission from US in decade

Nasa has announced that next month it will launch its first manned mission from US soil in almost 10 years.
The rocket and the spacecraft it is carrying are due to take off from Florida’s Kennedy Space Centre on 27 May, taking two astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). Both the rocket and spacecraft were developed by private company SpaceX. Nasa has been using Russian rockets for manned flights since its space shuttle was retired in 2011. If successful, SpaceX – headed by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk - will become the first private firm to send Nasa astronauts into space. The Falcon Nine rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft will take off from the space centre’s historic Pad 39A, the same one used for the Apollo and shuttle missions.
