I can only imagine that the world wars were insanely confusing to Americans who were simultaneously allies with and bitterly at war with Australia/Austria. What is a war like to people who can't identify other countries?

All American news is owned by two or three corporations. For some reason they are all in a race to the lowest common denominator of viewership.

Just ordered some new bits for my Pi - currently got a 2 that's not been used much, so once I get it all up-to-date etc I'll prob get a 3 too...

Is it bad that I trust my local papers more than the syndicated stuff we find on TV?

Our local paper is pretty decent at reporting events, not sure I would trust them beyond that.
