Nice cake, I am very specifically not showing that to my 6yo (her 6th b-day is friday). She is planning on making a cake with her mom after school on Friday.
Motoko would NOT be happy with me.
She had a birthday party this past saturday as i've mentioned. We bought the cake for this one from Whole Foods.

The cake really wasn't hard, just took 2 hours to bake all the layers because I only had one 7 1/4" pan, lol.

I hate having Sushi around here. It is never really fresh and generally expensive. Sucky part of living in the Midwest. I mean a few places have good sushi, but it is still over priced and not truly fresh.
Also, I am not going to Japan this year with my wife and kids so I will not get any really fresh stuff there this year either.. Kinda sad now...
Don't mind me, I'll just go sulk over in the corner.

Here it is the land of sushi. We get it a few times a week and it is made fresh right in the cafeteria. I'm not a huge sushi fan but it is really good here and free so no worries about the price.
