In what seems to be an upgrade tradition, emoji are busted.

Had to disable that plugin.

While browsing, the notification icon doesn’t update the number until a full page refresh.
Tested by opening the threads associated with the notification (not using the notification).
With the icon still showing unread, opened via the notification, no change.
Refresh the page, items are cleared.

Must’ve been a bug with the previous version.
Problem solved -
It was struggling hard with NodeBB 1.13 and 1.14. Now that we are on 1.15, things seem to be going a lot more smoothly.

Fixed a bunch of thumbnails now, too.

@scottalanmiller Iirc, there is something known borked w/emojis on latest 1.16.x Fixed in soon to be released 1.17? Think there is a bug filed at github about it if you're curious.

The emojis have been a constant source of breakage. This is at least the third time that the whole plugin system for them was hosed.

Haven’t fixed the fav icon and bookmark icon thing
4 nodebb communities in this shot. Only one has no customized icon.
