If you are moving your phone lines to a SIP provider, where do you turn for a directory assistance listing?

I know there are services, but with ATT and Comcast (for example), they do it for you. How does it work with a SIP provider?

8003733411. Some VOIP provider gave me that number many moons ago!

This appears to be a place to lookup a number for a business. I am looking to be listed.

For example, Comcast requested our State, Header Text, Header Code, SIC Code, Telephone Number to give out, the name of the Company, and if we wanted our number published or not. Upon providing them with that info, you can now call 411, ask for the phone number of our company, and they (whomever "they" are) will be able to provide it.

So I am looking for the other end of 800-Free411 (800-373-3411)

I've never looked to get a listing. Call a 411 service and see what results for your company already exist?

I don't create a dial route that works for 411, so no one can call it anyway. Who wants to wade through that shit on a phone call anyway.

I agree, but some customers still want to be listed. As if we still get a phone book and yellow pages on the front porch each year!

I wonder how many people don't know what I just said!

We tried offering this about a year ago and just gave up.

We still publish with yellowbook. They give us stats on how many people search for us online.
