                  @thegillion you might want to look into battery life first. I bet it's a lot less when using full linux instead of the ChromeOS only.

                    I doubt too much different. Same basic workload. Same basic drivers.

                      I think I read that it's on average two hours less battery life than the ChromeOS when using ubuntu. Most people are claiming close to 10hours with chrome os and around 8 hours with ubuntu

                        I doubt that it is Ubuntu. Most likely it is the Unity GUI. Install with XFCE and I bet you see something very different.

                          I still think 8 hours is good for the price of a Chrome Book
