      xByte has some older stuff that can be perfect for this.

        @scottalanmiller I did look there first in fact. The Dell 720xd came out to be similar in price for same(ish) spec and I didn't add the drives yet. Perhaps a better model to use to compare against the 380p?

            You can check out orangecomputers.com They have custom build DL380's.
            Build away.

              Orange computers is awesome. That’s where I got my home server ( a Dell R730)

                  Gotta check the specials on xbyte. Still not as good as the HP, but it is from a proven vendor.
