So since I've joined this site I've been posting like a madman. @scottalanmiller has a reputation of being someone who not only can't be matched but someone who can't be beat (in pretty much everything IT he does). I've been trying to outpost him and for a while I was maintaining about a 100 post lead over him. Well, that went bye bye on Monday I think it was. Today has been a back and forth and as of this writing I believe I'm 9 posts ahead. Will I be able to match him long term? With my schedule, no. However, I would love to make it to 1000 first. Because of my schedule the next two days I doubt that will happen but I can dream...however, I must say, it has felt good to be keeping pace with Scott at least for the past week or so. I love how fast the interface is on this community. I love the atmosphere. I love the freedom you have here. Heck, even @psx_defector posts and I don't believe he's actually had a post deleted yet. Yes he [modded] about having his naughty words modded but the whole spirit of this community is amazing!

To the admins, @addie and @steve, all I can say is thank you. Thanks for everything about this place and keep it going! To the rest of you and me included, let's make this community something to be proud of. For all of us here and those to come!

I haven't been much. 2.5 hours two nights ago and about 4 last night. Since I've been off caffeine I can do better with 4 hours sleep than I ever did with 8-9. It's really weird...lol

Caffeine takes energy from the future to use now. But there is a cost involved, overhead. So while it can help you stay awake, you have to lose that sleep somewhere else plus the overhead. So overall, using caffeine you have more control over when you are tired but are tired more often.

Well this may be true, but I have had so much caffeine in my system for so long, I am not sure what I would be like without it. High school in the late 80's was about dropping vivarin in a Jolt Cola in the morning. Post high school, the 90's was copious amounts of Mt. Dew. In the 00's i dropped soda from my daily life unless I am out someplace, but started Green Tea and Coffee. Now, I am just Coffee and water.

Sleep cycles, can you dig it? so this article talks about full sleep cycles and how they are more beneficial than sleeping for 8 hours on a stretch.
