Updated to Bookstack 0.24 and it seems nice

They added Bookshelves and allow you to set the /Books path as the homepage.

Among other updates.

This was released in September, but I just got to it.

If you followed my original guide, the update process is simple.

cd /var/www/html/bookstack/
sudo -u apache git pull origin release
sudo -u apache composer install
sudo -u apache php artisan migrate
