Is anyone still using VeraCrypt? Seems they are updating the fork of TrueCrypt and it's current release is 1.22

Have you had any success with working with it on Fedora?

ETA: This is for folder / file encryption. Not Disk Partition encryption.

Normally I think everyone uses the built in encryption instead.

I'm not familiar with that, and will it work cross platform?

For cross-platform support, you could use 7zip to encrypt files.

              Yeah I only use LUKS.

Another option is ecryptfs. That's what Ubuntu uses to encrypt just your home directories. I don't ever use it so I can't answer anything about it.

I am using veracrypt to open my true crypt volume (not partition). Is it being abandoned?

I seem to recall something I saw a while ago. I'll look when I get home.

Veracrypt is still currently. TC was of course abandoned.

                          No, it's full disk.

Not looking for - nor do I currently need FDE -

That's why no one uses VeraCrypt, though. Full disk is built in and just a check box.
