Paylocity seems to work well... we are using it now and (from my end of things, it's all on HR) seems to work really well.

It has all of that stuff (vacation/PTO requests, approvals, etc.) built in.

I have no idea of the costs, but I only have good to say about it.

Now, if you are strictly talking about a company-wide public absence calendar... the one I mentioned before is now live and fully in use, and is working out really well. No complaints yet. The only issues so far are people using the incorrect username/password to enter their absences. (yes, even though it says it right there on the front page)

Here's what it looks like in-use for the one site:

How do they do their HR? Do they have a Software? I mean I know you said they have an ancient Lanthem, now Lathem Online would do that for them.

@jaredbusch odoo is free if you deploy it on premise. SaaS is paid. Never checed for specific prices.

It doesn't do mobile in free.

I don't remember if it was posted here, but if you only want "1 app", such as the "Leaves" app, or whatever it may be, Odoo enterprise/hosted is free for unlimited users

Here is all that is included with the single "Leaves" app for free.

@bnrstnr free yes, but not enterprise, so no mobile view.

I setup Sentrifugo and it is just too confusing trying to find all the pieces to fill out to get the system online.

I setup IceHRM and it was clean and simple to get going, except... The Leave module does not seem to be there. Even though it says it should be.

I popped a github issue, we'll see what happens.

For that cost, other solutoins with more HRMS functions are available.

                          Nice looking package though.

We use Paycomm. Our payroll person seems to like it. It does have several modules, and with what we have, it does track vacation.

Oh - why not have everyone else know when others are on vacation? Then you know you'll get denied if they already got approved, etc.

I only seen the Leave module in the Pro version, when I checked out their Demos.

I think ADP is one of the leaders in this category. I don't know about the pricing though.

                                  Hello Jared,

I haven't used https://icehrm.com before, however, I do have a similar suggestion your team can use.

Vacation Tracker is a neat Slack integration that lets your teams request, approve and manage leave within seconds.

Consider wordpress site with booking calendar plugin. If you have not found something more direct and made for what you asked, cause my solution will be tailored for like guests booking... oh wait we use OrangeHRM let me check if we have that feature ...

I can't wait till I have Jury Duty leave ... each screenshot is a diff button/function. I think admin can see everyone and I can only see my co-workers leaves

Hey guy's I've had time to play with ICEHRM, Odoo, Sentrifugo and a few others. Has any come to a consensus as a "staple" app to choose from? I'm leaning more toward ERPNext since it is customizable (now that I figured out some of their data model).

I liked ERPNext when I used it for my consulting work. I never used the vacation stuff though.

Honestly if ERPNext and many of the other open-source systems actually mimicked Zoho, they would have a higher adoption rate as far as it pertains to customization and the interface. For example, Zoho Creator in my opinion is still the best SMB SaaS system pound for pound. ERPNext prides themselves on customization but the UI can be clunky.
