For 70 bucks, I think this might be coming to my house soon.

It's tempting, but I still like the idea of avoiding all streaming media that is uncontrolled. I hate the "just watch whatever is on" concept.

You've lost me - how does the Amazon Fire TV give you uncontrolled media?

From the over the air antenna.

So in this case, you just skip buying the OTA antenna.

That was my plan. Or leave the antenna disconnected if they all include it.

I suppose someone might want that at the carrier side.

Wow, only a few decades behind competition. Hunt groups were available in the days of analog telephony.

This is carrier side hunting. I suppose really really small offices who don't want a PBX can use this functionality.

But you're right, this is not a new idea.. just new for VOIP.ms

I think it is safe to assume if youre an adult in the US and have ever received credit at any time in your life, you are affected.

Even if you aren't in the US, Canadians and Brits were also effected. (not to the same scale though)

But not on $1 phone lines.

Right, I recommend this service to people with one or two phones all the time. It’s simply not cost-effective set up an entire PBS for only a couple of phone. Most of the time those users also do not need this in feature, but it is a good solid feature to add to their offer.

Of course it takes the BBC to announce the update. Typical.

*weeps openly*... oh wait... I don't use my Yahoo account anymore and I'm certain that password isn't used out in the wild anymore either.

Now I get to say, You're kidding, right? to you.

MS is trying to put themselves everywhere. Keep themselves in people's minds.
Not to mention that they are trying to compete with Google in some feature ways, first one to mind - what you're browsing on your desktop can now flow to your phone and vice versa, just like Google can do.

Now that said - I don't think the public will care.
