iOS 11 annoyances

How is battery life with the update? This is my first day, with a brand new phone, with iOS11, and at first glance, the battery seems to be draining fast.
Thus far - about normal here.. but since I nearly never get to use mine for anything other than a few simple games, FB, and Safari, it's difficult to say.

So I finally got to play with this on my iPad Pro. I LOVE THIS!!! Multi tasking is a whole lot better than it was. The customizable dock is awesome. The new files app is VERY awesome I have my iCloud, dropbox, google drive and OneDrive all in one place without opening the stupid individual clunky app for each of them. There's also some more stuff for the apple pencil and it works better than it did before. I am really happy with this upgrade.

Right now I have an 'issue' in that a new text message will have the bottom half cut off until I close / open the keyboard sometimes.
Previous update had this issue as well. When on a call, text messages do not display on the lock screen. annoying.

That Files app is a godsend. Drag and drop is amazing, but wish it was more functional with 3rd party apps. For instance, GMail has it, but every time i’ve tried to drag/drop, the green + will pop up but the file won’t attach.

Yeah, that's true, however Bria isn't too bad in my experience so far. my iphone 6s plus was fine. I was guessing that Bria just didn't make the necessary updates to play nice with iOS 11.
Time will tell.

Is this something Android can do better because Android doesn't lock devs out as much?
Android can do anything better... except "cool kid factor"... My softphone app stays on all the time, only a tiny bit extra battery drain. But I'm not "cool" enough for iCrap, so YMMV.
"iOS 11 annoyances" - you mean beyond the mere existence of a company like Apple? Because those smarmy, turtleneck wearing douches are really the main annoyance, followed closely by their fangirls.

This is the real root of the apple problem in my eyes.
Was Steve Jobs a dick? Sure sounds like it - but was he right - technology needs to work and be super f'ing simple? Hell yes it does. Has MS learned this lesson? sadly - no.

I still need to buy Bria. It has been on my list of things to work on for months.
I like it. Linphone and Zoiper work great too, but some others in the office didn't have the same experience. On one person's Linphone extension (on an android device) it would generate a ton of errors on the asterisk console. Installing Bria instead made the problem go away.
I have found that soft phone apps are very finicky depending on the device hardware as well as the OS version it's running on.

Yes, tech should be effing simple, but not a closed, exclusionary ecosystem designed to appeal to celebrities and people with 6 figures worth of piss-away income. So I say f@ck Steve Jobs and f@ck the apple fangirl hordes. Douchery all around. Apple people are like vegans... they won't shut up about it. And their platform of choice actually does less, but they aren't knowledgeable enough to understand the difference.

Actually he proved the opposite. Steve Jobs didn't make tech simple. He claimed it was simple and proved that if you keep repeating a lie people believe it no matter how obvious it is. Ever used a Mac? It's not bad, but it certainly isn't magically simple. Jobs proved that marketing means more than making good products.
