@hobbit666 Ahhhhh, OK 🙂 I host my personal site on, etc - so I figure that saves me $5/10 a month 🙂

          Dell R310 running hyper-v 2016.
CentOS VM that's a DHCP and DNS server

Cisco 2950 switch (have Two other switches and three routers from when I was studying for CCNA)

Cisco ASA 5505 as my firewall / router. Also have an ancient Apple AirPort Extreme was a WAP.

Got a Vultr instance for experimenting and learning FreePBX.

Mine's off right now. We're in the process of moving and I haven't had the opportunity to turn it back on yet.

How do you like the Sophos UTM? I was thinking about trying it out 🙂

A few of my clients use it. Works great. It's at the top of the list as far as UTMs go IMO. Miles ahead of SonicWall. For an all-in-one solution it fits the bill. I normally just use my ERL but can switch to the VM for testing if need be.

Dell 2950 running vmware esxi, with 2 guests at the moment (2008 AD server and a plex server on linux). The rest is boring network equipment.

Does it though? How much are you paying in power and cooling to have the sever at home?

Not really a lab. Just Plex and a Nginx proxy I was testing something with and was too lazy to connect to my hyper-v systems in the colo.

I wonder if it would be possible to connect all the PLEX systems together for one massive library.

I just feel like that may be going into a legal territory no one really wants to go.
