      Hi,

We are using Ubiquity WIFI infra and I need to add outdoor Access Point in the park and will be mounted in a pole. The outdoor access Point location will be in the center and should cover the radius of 70 meters around the access point. the users will be using a tablet for the to access company system. i may have

I was hoping to use 802.11ac technology, is there an access point model that is multi-directional with 802.11ac? The only model i see for Ubiquity with 802.11ac are UAP-AC-PRO-US (round) and the rectangle which is usually mounted in the ceiling or wall.

what are my options? is it correct approach to only install 1 AP in the middle or i should deploy multiple AP to cover 140m diameter?

Is there only the 1 spot that has Ethernet currently? I would think getting several (3+) AP's would be sufficient.

Can you describe the "park" in a bit more detail?

Just discussing with the guys here at MC, and the general recommendation is to just purchase a Single AP AC Pro for $150 put it out there and see how well it works.

If you really needed others you'd have to add cables etc.

The open air range on a UPA-AC-PRO is 122m.
It is an indoor/outdoor rated device.
            It is only $150.

Just do it and be done.

I recently setup a warehouse with some UAP-AC-PRO - before I even had the rest of them setup across the 40,000 sq ft, 3 building setup, I had almost full coverage from the 2 test ones that were just sitting on desks without mounting.

I have a feeling my plan to place them every 75' is overkill to say the least. We are testing the AC-EDU as well to see how loud the speaker is.

NY State Fair had free wifi this year, I'm not sure the model but it was a cisco AP mounted every 400' or so on a tower

Users per AP is also a consideration in this scenario, but not really something anyone cares about for a warehouse or typical office deployment.
