What Are You Doing Right Now

Same user just asked for admin right for a third time... won't tell me what she wants with them.
"What is the business need?"
Been there a time or two. When working for a large auto maker, they had a request form for everything, very long paper trail. Everything was locked down and you had to have a specific business need for access to areas of the network.

Show Me's... Interesting. We had one of those here, but it didn't last long.
This is the original. Opened about 25 years ago or so. Spent almost every Saturday there with friends from the late 90's through mid 00's.

Breakfast with my favorite assistant today @jenuinecase . Lots of conference calls and need to find a graphic designer to get tshirts done for SpiceWorld. Of course the one I had backed out last minute

Looking at a terrible personal website
WOW.
Why is there a bouncing ball thing? That seems really random.

We had a thread a month or two months ago about a super secure IM platform with no central tracking or logging at all. Does anyone have a link to that thread? In the thread I know we were discussing how the company had no way to read the communications.

Ha all of the "buttons" go to the same page. Here's a good one from my area. http://barkerzone.net/
He does "web design" and if you have a single page site he literally creates a page on his site with your info. http://www.barkerzone.net/davesautobody/

I've been having the immense fun of writing Local Policy templates for Windows by hand... What fun!

Was hoping to review our DR plan, but apparently out MSP "manages that for us" ?!?!?!?!?
So now I'm even more confused.. . . ..
-
@DustinB3403 If you can't put your hands on a document, it does not exist.
-
@dafyre My thoughts exactly....
Asked my boss for it, as I am working on other projects, and this came up, yet it's not on our network anywhere that I can find.
-
Not even an old copy of it. . . .
-
@DustinB3403 This should be scary... both to you and your boss.
-
The pissed / scared bar is well above my reach at this point, as our MSP has supposedly managed all of these things for us, yet falters at things that I consider in their realm to manage.
So if I were a totem pole, I'd be completely under water. I have a feeling I'm going to have to work and completely re-write the DR plan, as I completely expect it to be out of date by no less than 2 years.

UGH

Sounds like when it is time to renew the MSP agreement, you need to look at getting a new MSP.
