I always have a hard time picking this one. I have a list of around 10 that I keep as my top 10. That list includes (in no particular order):

            The Shawshank Redemption
            V for Vendetta
            The Princess Bride
            The Green Mile
            Up
            The Last Samurai

            Forrest Gump
            The Muppet Movie
            The Great Muppet Caper
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

The ones in bold are the ones for sure. The others I kind of thought of now but the others are definites and have been considered over time and many times.

@ajstringham No question, Shawshank is always very, very high for me. That is a seriously good film.

I can't help but watch this and Mr Holland's Opus and Finding Forrester when I find them on tv.

You can really tell who is in their early 20s and who is in their 30s from the movie selections 🙂

@scottalanmiller Also, can't believe I forgot American History X. Just a flat out powerful movie. Kingdom of Heaven was amazing too!

It's weird... for me these two movies are way outside my wheelhouse, but for some reason they just speak to me.

One movie that I absolutely loved, and no one else seems to know, from the 1990s Laserdisc era is "Tune in Tomorrow." Some seriously weird stuff but a classic film. Good cast too.

I am a big fan of the classic John Woo films like "The Killer" in 1989 and "Hard Boiled" in 1992. Those are two that I never managed to own myself but was able to rent on Lasterdisc in the 1990s. Those were great movies. I feel like no one makes good stuff like that anymore.

The Big Lebowski. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing the dude besides Jeff Bridges.

Those were not ones that did it for me, but from much of the same crew I loved "El Mariachi" and "Desperado." Those were amazing.
