Good morning all... I'm testing out one of those mushroom based "coffee alternative" beverages. Well, this one has a little bit of cold brew extract (?). Tastes pretty good, but a bit on the weak side. Like a mocha with less espresso and more milk. I will report back on the effects.
weird. what's the purpose of the alternative in this case? No caffeine? More caffeine? Alternative energy source?
It has a little caffeine in it, the rest of it is supposed to supercharge how your body uses it. Pretty good energy boost, but it leaves me wanting in the flavor department, so I made a pot of coffee anyway. But the mushroom stuff gives me WAY more energy and focus than the same 5-6oz of coffee does.
What's it called, and how does it price check against coffee?
This one is called Everyday Dose, they have a 7 day trial for $5 shipping. Looks like it's about $1.33 per day (1 per day), of course, it's a subscription model. Worth a try if caffeine doesn't always do the trick.

Some of us are still trying to get our caffeine going. Nothing says "Monday" like walking in to 2 downed systems and a whole lot of oddness.

@dafyre Yeah I'm back from PTO today and the new hire got a ton of projects done last week while I was out. Great, execpt he's out the next 2 days, didn't' document exactly what he did and I'm stuck figuring it out till he gets back.

I am still awaiting notice from my interview Thursday,..Offer received and without hesitation accepted. In doing so I go from a contractor to full bore employee again. In addition to a spread of benefits I also will receive an increase in pay- and first salary job in a number of years.
