The state is pretty restrictive on access - And to a large degree I get and understand that.

We use two different vendors for VPN Access-

      PaloAlto and SSL-VPN

PaloAlto uses the GloblaProtect client, which is installed on Windows 7 and Windows 10 alike...

But on several Windows 7 PCs, I see this happening:
      2020-03-30 11_13_42-VMware Horizon.png

And it never connects. I've checked Settings, - the connection is right, and you can't 'sign out' as there is no user shown as signed in.

The NetOps team of course just dumps it as being a Windows 7 PC and the protocols are no longer supported, But if you are using a VPN client, doesn't that address that? It's not RDP

I would say if you are able to install the latest version of the agent, it should still be supported. I can see maybe your network team saying that to force an upgrade of the OS. Teams will sometimes use excuses like that to push management to leave EOL systems.

What do you mean you can't sign out?

In settings, there is a username, and a sign out option.

Yup- that’s right. And have done so on several occasions. But when it isn’t an option because it’s not there, you cannot sign out.

No username- no sign out option

I remember this threw me for a loop once.

Is there like a little icon or something? Can you send a screenshot of the settings page?

I do remember doing this once, and it was confusing.

You cannot sign out if you never signed in. Killing the application would stop connection attempts.

This is the screen I get.

I deleted everything. Then you re-enter the gateway, and it will ask you for your password.
