Windows Defender... everything else is snakeoil. I always try to not laugh when someone says "But XYZ has a built in virus scanner for SSL connections"

But how will VARs make money now?

How did buggy whip makers make money when horse where no longer the driving force in transportation?

They started to make glue. .

Repeat after me: There is no such thing as free. There is no such thing as free. There is no such thing as free.

And Jello (it's rumored same base goes into both)

@Dashrender They made throttle cables. Then, when HVAC started being incorporated the control leaver cables. Then, branched off into cables for bicycles when they became the norm.

@PhlipElder Oh, and can't forget the six pack and dual quad linkages either. 😉

A bit OC, but... You won't believe what people sell - and what others actually buy. For example:

                  • Fibre cables with "gold contacts" -> https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/875f5k/optical_cables_with_gold_plated_connectors/
                  • RCA cable made from "old Japanese overland phone lines" wrapped in silk paper for just a few thousand dollars per meter (can't find the link ATM)
                  • On guy is offering a "cable ionization service" for better sound results via eBay where I live. Approx. 50-100 EUR per cable.

that wasn't the point - the point was that they either evolved to a new business - or died.
