Lucky Me I get vacation time next week hanging out with my son while my day care provider(ok, my dad) goes on vacation to Montana, his friend bought about 20 acres of land , they're going up to check it out and clear it out a little bit.I'd like to purchase a decent plot of land like that as well.

I don't look down on people that want it. But I certainly do not understand it.
I mean people like @donaldlandru actually have a farm (vineyard), not just acreage of nothing to fuck around on.
My boss does the same thing. He has 40 acres in southern Illinois. He's constantly driving two hours down to it and fucking with food plots and clearing brush just to have a place to hunt.
I appreciate the game meat he give me! But it is just not my style.
In this case, He wants to get off the grid, this is like a retirement plan (maybe)
As far as having a farm and what not, I think the most he'll do is a small garden off the side of his house, But I can't speak on what he's doing.
I'd enjoy the space and being away from the city. Enjoying the quiet, I wouldn't have a huge farm, maybe a garden, after all it's not a business move, it's a personal development move.

If I could have good internet out in farm county, I'd love to move back... I love the sounds and feel of nature... being able to open my front door and just listen quietly as mosquitoes assault my screen door... It beats hearing some nimrod at 2AM trying to tune up his jet engine of a truck with no muffler. (I mean I can sleep through it, but most of my family and neighbors, however could not).

My boss is actually on a call ( which is rare cause he doesn't take calls, or talk on the phone often at all. when he does he leaves it on fucking speaker and yells over people.)
and this guy is Talking loud enough to be called yelling into the phone on Speaker, while I'm taking other calls so i have to talk over him while not yelling at my customer and trying to hear her about her questions.WTF.

I've decided I wont take calls until he's off the phone.
I cant even hear anyone on the phone in my hear at max volume because i hear him yelling into the phone.
So when he's done I'll continue working through some calls until then I'll be looking into a few of the calls a head of calling the customer . -
ugh, i'm so jealous. I have to work tomorrow
..but i definitely want to do something on the weekend.

nope same one i've been at for the last year and couple months.
He rarely takes calls. Like maybe 3 a month (compared to my 10-35 a day ) -

Just cause you have to work doesn't mean you cant do something interesting / etc. -
