I can't remember where it was, but just this past week or so, someone was saying how Vultr or something wasn't as good as Google Cloud because GCP simply never went down. But they had an outage yesterday, right after someone mentioned it
Probably me being sarcastic or a smart-ass somewhere.
Ha, could be. Although I could find no mention of it on ML, so it might have not even been here.

Board of seeing the same posts all the timeI left FB sevearl months ago....I was disgusted with all the unpleasantness of things. It was the only avenue for keeping in touch with some people... but - I can't say I am unhappy with the choice the close / delete my account.

If there is, I don't know anything about it. That falls on another department. We just have to make sure that if the generators are working, our stuff is working too.
But if the power's out and city gas quits working, we have bigger issues anyhow, lol.

I disabled mine back in January and I don't miss it one bit.

In banking, according to FFIEC, it is "bad" to use open source software. The Cybersecurity Assessment Tool gives you a "lower" score if you use OSS.
Thoughts?

Just came across this article:https://www.ketv.com/article/local-students-set-to-take-part-in-the-75th-anniversary-d-day-parade/27679370
Funny story.
I was there for the 70th anniversary, had my Color Guard (honor Guard as it's called in the Army active duty) marched in St. Mary Gleis after paratroopers were raining from the sky.
That Lt. Col Debolt was my Sr Army instructor in High school, He apparently got a promotion. -

I believe their entire audit process was designed by someone who has 0 technical knowledge and was paid to make up arbitrary "tests".

Tidying up our Active Directory with the Computers. At the moment they are just in the "Computers" folder. Trying to get them into "Site" folders.
-
@DustinB3403 I agree. I can't stand going through the audits. Every year there are different "rules" and they vary by examiner.

That's just proof that the examiners are allowed to create up the rules to fit their desires. Meaning the more you are penalized the more they get paid to help you "fix these security issues".

Like the original guy who wrote the Password policy for NIST?

Might even have been the same exact person.

Super busy day. Finally getting a moment to stop and think!
